What is LARP?

If you don't know, LARP stands for Live Action Roleplay, and is essentially like playing D&D in real life. 

You create a Character, put together a Costume for them, and then pretend to be them while doing Quests, Solving Puzzles, and engaging with other Player's Characters or the Non-Player Characters at the event. Game Masters (Like a DM) help keep things running smoothly and ensure everybody plays fair.

Some LARPs focus mainly on combat, but Anniven is primarily focused on Roleplay instead, and combat in the game is styled after "Nordic" LARPs, which is a more theatrical style that just involves combat being resolved in whatever way feels most interesting instead of tracking Hit Points and Stats. Combat is also entirely optional and opt-in, so if you aren't interested in Combat you do not have to engage with it and you will not miss out on essential plot.
